Natural Health Degree
There are many natural health
degree programs available to you, including the BS, MS, PhD, and NHD (Doctor of Natural
Health). Whatever the program, you will learn about the philosophy of natural health:
how sunlight, fresh air, proper diet, rest, and exercise will encourage the human
body to heal. And you will learn practical methods of applying that philosophy to
the treatment of patients. Depending on your program, you may add concentrations
in iridology (diagnosing health through the irises), herbology, or nutrition and
lifestyles to your course of study.
When you have completed your program, you will have many career options, depending
on your degree. You might teach classes at natural health stores or fitness centers,
consult at hospitals and clinics, perform research, manufacture and sell natural
health products, or, if you have an existing health care practice, augment it with
natural health techniques.
